On 15th February 2024 the Trust, together with Bray Historical Societey, held an event to celebrate 150 years “Cripples Home”, now known has Sunbeam House.
The event started with a short talk by Brian White and laying of two wreath representing Sunbeam House as the grave of some of the children of the Cripples Home.
We then went to the Royal Hotel for a talk by Brian White about the history of the Cripples Home and the influence it had on Bray.

As part of the talk, Brian also showed this video by Lorraine Newsome and Siobhan Curran “Commemorative Project”.
After his talk, Brian White presented John (Anthony) Giles with the family trees of some of the childen who lived in the home.
