John Giles recently attended a planning day regarding the 100 year anniversary commemoration of the sinking of the RMS Leinster, upon which Gerard Palmer, aged 16, resident of the old Sunbeam House, was sadly drowned as he sailed to the UK to start a new job and new life.
Information regarding Gerard will be included in the commemoration of this event which is being planned for October 2018.
